Our Faculty

The mission of the Irish Institute of Biosynthesis is to create space and integration for the establishment of this method in the Professional and Therapeutic environment of Psychotherapists in Ireland.

Our Faculty

Attracta Gill MA MIAHIP MIACP SIACP SIAHIP MIIBS ECP Diploma in Biosynthesis Somatic and Depth Psychology Oriented Psychotherapy Director, Founder and Trainer at the Irish Institute for Biosynthesis. She maintains a private practice as a Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and Biosynthesis Body Psychotherapist in Naas, Co Kildare. Attracta initially completed a 4-year Diploma at the Tivoli Institute in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and followed this with a 3 year MA in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy in the University of Limerick specializing in Gestalt and Existential Psychotherapy. She spent a further 6 years training in Biosynthesis Psychotherapy with the Founders of the International Institute for Biosynthesis Dr. David Boadella and Dr. Silvia Specht Boadella in Heiden, Switzerland. She is a member of the International Training Faculty of Biosynthesis. Attracta has a special interest in Trauma Recovery and Interpersonal Neuroscience and has completed further International specialized training in working with Developmental Trauma and Biosynthesis, Gestalt, Hakomi and Mindfulness. Attracta is an experienced 3rd Level Educator in Psychotherapy. She has served on several Committees in IACP and IAHIP.

International Senior Trainers:

Dr. Joke van de Belt Optiker. ECP ASP Dipl. Biosynthesis Psychotherapist, International Senior Trainer for the Biosynthesis Method and Somatic Coaching. Joke studied Social work, Management and Organization, Religious Science and Systemic Therapy in Switzerland. Since 2000 she has a professional practice as a Dipl. Biosynthesis Psychotherapist and Coach in Holland and Switzerland. For many years she worked at the International Institute for Biosynthesis IIBS. She is a member of the International Training Faculty of Biosynthesis. Joke is currently teaching in Germany, Israel, Switzerland, Ireland and California. Since fifteen years she has a professional psychotherapeutic practice. Joke van de Belt Optiker published: Ani La “The nuns of Redna Menling” about the position of nuns in the Tibetan tradition and various articles about rituals.
Gabriele Hoppe-Stux. Psychotherapist ECP ASP WCP Art Therapist, Dipl. Biosynthesis Psychotherapist, International Senior Trainer for the Biosynthesis Method and Somatic Coaching. Gabriele is the founder of the Biosynthesis Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. She developed the licensed method of Somatic Coaching. Gabriele is a trainer at the International Institute for Biosynthesis IIBS in Switzerland with Dr. David Boadella and Silvia Specht-Boadella, PhD. She is an international known trainer for Somatic Psychotherapy and Somatic Coaching, being a consultant for various Institutes in Europe, Israel, Ireland and the United States. She is a member of the International Training Faculty of Biosynthesis. Gabriele Hoppe-Stux is also an Associate Professor of the German Acupuncture Society and the Plateroti Center for Holistic Medicine in Atascadero, California. She was a faculty member of the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, CA. Since twenty years she has a professional psychotherapeutic practice for children and adults.
Austin Breslin BSc MIAHIP MIACP MIIBS ECP Diploma in Biosynthesis Somatic and Depth Psychology Oriented Psychotherapy Director, Founder and Trainer at the Irish Institute for Biosynthesis. He maintains a private practice as a Psychotherapist, and Biosynthesis Body Psychotherapist in Naas, Co Kildare. Austin received a BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and spent a further 6 years training with the Founders of the International Institute for Biosynthesis Dr. David Boadella and Dr. Silvia Specht Boadella in Heiden, Switzerland. He is a member of the International Training Faculty of Biosynthesis. Austin is an experienced 3rd Level Educator in Psychotherapy and specialises in working with survivors of Prostate Cancer. He has completed further International specialized training in working with Developmental Trauma and Biosynthesis, Gestalt and Mindfulness.
